The heat and intensity of training camp finally boiled over Saturday.
The Houston Texans and Washington Redskins held their third of three joint practices in Richmond, Va. It’s become a common practice in NFL training camps, as bringing in another team helps break up the monotony and allows players to get different looks.
During a very chippy team session, however, an apparent late hit in the Redskins’ backfield sparked a massive brawl that showed the ugly side of joint practices.

The two sides were far from done, though, as several more fights broke out before the day was over.

The Texans and Redskins aren’t scheduled to play each other this season, so they can’t settle their differences on the game field. Judging by how this practice went, that’s probably a good thing.
