Buffalo Wild Wings Pulls Steve Rannazzisi Ads After He Made Up 9/11 Story

Comedian and “The League” actor Steve Rannazzisi made headlines earlier this week when he admitted lying about being in the World Trade Center on 9/11. As a result, Buffalo Wild Wings has decided to stop airing commercials involving the actor.

Rannazzisi previously said he worked for Merrill Lynch on the 54th floor of the South Tower when the first plane hit the North Tower. However, an investigation by The New York Times discovered Merrill Lynch did not have any offices in the World Trade Center at the time, and that there was no record of him ever working for the company.

“I was not at the Trade Center on that day,” Rannazzisi told the Times in a statement provided by his publicist, Matthew Labov. “I don’t know why I said this. This was inexcusable. I am truly, truly sorry.”
