It’s good to be Robert Lewandowski these days.
Lewandowski’s magic week continued Tuesday when he scored a hat trick for Bayern Munich in its 5-0 UEFA Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb. Lewandowski’s treble gives him 10 goals in his last three games, cementing his status as European soccer’s hottest striker at moment.
The Polish marksman already had been enjoying a stellar week before the Bayern-Zagreb game kicked off. He scored five goals last Tuesday in his team’s Bundesliga (German first division) win over Wolfsburg. He then notched two more Saturday in Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga victory over Mainz. Lewandowski has to stop scoring bunches of goals at some point, but that time isn’t now.
Lewandowski had two more goals to his credit before the half-hour mark, scoring in the 22nd and 28th minutes. He completed the hat trick in the second half, taking his goals total to 10 for the week and 14 in 10 games in all competitions this season.

Lewandowski, 27, now tops the scoring charts in league, European and international play, and at least two Premier League clubs could use someone like him.
