Deflategate Judge Releases Anti-NFL Letters He Received From Fans (Photos)

It’s highly unlikely that letters from football fans had any effect on U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman’s decision to vacate Tom Brady’s four-game suspension, but apparently people tried anyway.

Judge Berman this week released letters he received during the NFL Players Association’s case against the NFL regarding the New England Patriots quarterback’s suspension for his alleged role in Deflategate. And some of them are pretty wacky.

There were 21 different senders, and most of them were sympathetic toward the Patriots. Most slammed the NFL and Roger Goodell, many referred to the fact the league didn’t have hard evidence against Brady and some wanted the referees of the 2014 AFC Championship Game to be suspended.

Judge Berman even received two amicus briefs from people offering their own science and advice.

But not everyone was asking the judge to vacate Brady’s suspension. A couple of writers wanted it upheld, including a teacher from Reno, Nev., who wrote a three-page letter in Comic Sans declaring Brady is a cheater and a terrible role model.

Here are a couple of snippets from her letter.
