Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn’t a bad guy sometimes.
Mayweather is about as polarizing as they come, but the undefeated boxing champion recently did a cool thing for Leah Still, the daughter of Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still.
Devon has been telling Leah to approach her cancer fight like Mayweather approaches opponents in the ring, the lineman wrote in an Instagram post. If she wins one round of chemotherapy/treatment at a time, says Devon, she’ll win her fight against the horrible disease.
Mayweather caught wind of this message and sent Leah a pair of autographed boxing gloves — one glove for her and one glove for Devon to auction off at the first annual Still Strong Foundation Gala.
Leah, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, appears to be making great progress in her recovery, as Devon announced in March that his daughter’s cancer was in remission.
Now, Leah has a cool reminder to keep fighting.
