Patriots Show Love For Drew Brees, Congratulate QB On 400th TD Pass (Video)

The New England Patriots know a major milestone when they see one, and they made sure to recognize a historic achievement late Sunday night.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees connected on his 400th career touchdown pass when he found C.J. Spiller for an 80-yard touchdown in overtime to beat the Dallas Cowboys.

Brees became just the fifth player in NFL history to reach 400 touchdown passes, among them Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who accomplished the feat in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Shortly after the game, the Patriots’ official Twitter account sent a shout-out to Brees for joining the prestigious group.

The Saints certainly appreciated the gesture, as they responded with their own tweet minutes later.

The Patriots and Saints don’t play each other this season, so there’s certainly no harm in showing some mutual admiration for their star quarterbacks. But now that Brees trails Brady by just one career touchdown pass, we’re guessing New England won’t be rooting for the Saints QB much longer.
