Not everyone views the New England Patriots as Super Bowl favorites.
While NESN.com’s Week 9 Power Rankings pegged the Patriots as the best team in the league, a “Super Bowl draft” posted earlier this week on the NFL’s YouTube page painted a much different picture.
Former NFL scouts Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks discussed the top contenders to compete in Super Bowl 50, with the analysts alternating picks for who they think will represent the AFC and NFC in this season’s big game. The Patriots are a sexy selection among many NFL pundits, but Brooks threw caution to the wind and selected the Denver Broncos first overall.
Of course, one could argue the Patriots and Broncos are neck and neck in the quest for NFL supremacy, as both are undefeated and Denver is coming off a convincing win over the Green Bay Packers. Pats fans might feel slighted, though.
Either way, it’s just another chip — albeit a tiny one — to slap on New England’s shoulder.
