Jerry Jones ‘Singing In Shower’ Over Tony Romo’s Return For Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have played seven games since quarterback Tony Romo suffered a broken collarbone during their Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and every contest has ended the same way — with a loss.

The Cowboys initially turned to backup quarterback Brandon Weeded to try to hold down the fort until Romo returned, but they eventually traded for Matt Cassel and inserted him into the starting role.

Now, with Romo ready to return for Dallas’ Week 11 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t holding back his thoughts about Weeden and Cassel.

“I’ve tried to get cute at the QB spot,” Jones said Friday during an interview with 105.3 the Fan in Dallas.

What exactly does he mean by that? Well, apparently it was a swipe at Weeden.

Ouch.

Romo is set to return this weekend, though, so it isn’t all bad news in Dallas.

“I found myself singing in the shower a little bit this morning,” Jones said.

Just don’t tell Weeden that.
