Andre Drummond can score in bunches, but he’s not exactly the sharpest shooter. Apparently, he just needs to back up a little bit.
The Detroit Pistons big man, who entered Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics averaging 17.7 points and 16.3 rebounds per game, has attempted seven 3-pointers in his career and made just one.
The latter number increased to two Wednesday thanks to Drummond’s absurd halfcourt shot just before the first half buzzer.

Ironically, that halfcourt heave was one of the few shots Drummond had hit to that point. The 22-year-old was just 2 for 4 from the floor in the first half and had missed all four of his free throw attempts. (He’s a career 39 percent free throw shooter.)
Drummond’s big shot broke a tie and gave the Pistons a 55-52 lead at halftime.
