Kristaps Porzingis Throws Block Party As Knicks Dump Timberwolves (Video)

It’s hard to say anyone drafted No. 4 overall is a “steal,” but Kristaps Porzingis has been just that for the New York Knicks.

Though the 7-foot-3 Latvian forward always is in the spotlight playing at Madison Square Garden, there was a bit of extra emphasis on Wednesday night’s game, with No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves facing Porzingis and the Knicks for the first time.

Porzingis wasn’t a very polite host, however, rejecting Towns’ offering and showing him the door in their first on-the-court encounter.

Porzingis also got in a sweet block on 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins.

Porzingis had six blocks at halftime and finished with seven overall for the Knicks, who beat the Wolves 107-102. It’s the third six-plus block game for Porzingis this season, and no Knicks player but Patrick Ewing has had more in one season in nearly 30 years.
