Ex-NHL forward Brian McGrattan was knocked unconscious after taking a powerful right-handed punch to the face and then hitting his head on the ice as he fell during a fight in Tuesday night’s AHL game between the San Diego Gulls and San Antonio Rampage.
Warning: The end of the fight might be too graphic for some viewers as McGrattan lays motionless on the ice.
McGrattan had to be stretchered off the ice, but fortunately, his condition has improved.

The 34-year-old veteran has been an enforcer throughout his pro career. He’s fought five times for the Gulls this season, and his fight card at all levels is a lengthy one.
