Meek Mill’s Music Banned From Raptors’ Locker Room In Support Of Drake

It’s pretty obvious where the Toronto Raptors stand when it comes to the well-documented beef between recording artists Drake and Meek Mill.

Drake, who has been the Raptors’ global ambassador since 2013, can be spotted courtside all the time in Toronto. And according to an article published this week by Complex UK, the support goes both ways, as Raptors players have taken it upon themselves to ban Meek Mill’s music from playing in their locker room.

“Oh, it’s nothing but hip-hop so Young Thug, Drake, Rick Ross, Weezy, Rich Homie Quan…,” Raptors forward Patrick Patterson told Complex UK when asked about the team’s locker room song selections.

The reporter then followed up by asking whether the Raptors have placed a ban on Meek Mill. Patterson confirmed that’s exactly the case.

“Oh yeah, Meek Mill has been banned for a long time,” Patterson said. “No one plays Meek Mill.”

Maybe Patterson’s joking. Or maybe he isn’t. Drake and Meek Mill have been feuding for a while, and given the former’s strong relationship with the organization, a music ban isn’t out of the question.

Sorry, Meek.
