Revolution Lose Bet To Rapids Over Patriots-Broncos AFC Championship Game

The New England Patriots’ AFC Championship Game loss to the Denver Broncos affected another team that plays at Gillette Stadium: the New England Revolution.

Before the Patriots fell just short of Super Bowl 50, losing to the Broncos 20-18, the Revs proposed a bet with the Colorado Rapids that was pretty simple. If Denver lost, the Rapids would change their Twitter avatar to the Revolution’s logo, but if New England lost, the Revs would be stuck with Colorado’s.

Obviously, it didn’t work out for the Revolution.

Things didn’t go so hot for teams owned by Robert Kraft this weekend.
