Are you a college football fan and a movie buff? This item might have your name on it.
Well, technically, it has Tommy Lee Jones’ name on it.
Jones’ 1968 Harvard football championship gold pendant will be up for auction by Huggins & Scott Auctions from Feb. 1 to 11. The legendary actor, who also was Al Gore’s roommate at Harvard, was an All-Ivy guard for the Crimson’s championship season.
The pendant, which comes with a signed letter of authenticity from Jones’ first wife, author Kate Lardner, commemorates the “Harvard Beats Yale 29-29” season. Harvard scored two touchdowns in the final 42 seconds of the Ivy League championship to ensure a 29-29 final score.
Jones’ pendant is comprised of three pieces. Bidding for it begins at $1,000.
Jones, of course, is known for his roles in such movies as “The Fugitive,” “No Country for Old Men” and “Men in Black,” among others. He also played in perhaps the most famous game in college football history, though, so sports/movie fans might want to consider splurging in the coming weeks.
Jones’ pedant can be seen below. More information can be found here.
