Report: Tom Brady Will Attend Super Bowl 50 As Part Of MVP Ceremony
Tom Brady will be at Super Bowl, just not in the fashion he or New England Patriots fans hoped.
As part of the 50th Super Bowl, the NFL plans on honoring the Most Valuable Players of the first 49 games. Brady, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, was up in the air about whether he’d attend, but the NFL confirmed Thursday that Brady will be there for the ceremony at Levi’s Stadium in California.
Brady, a four-time Super Bowl winner, won MVP honors at Super Bowl XXXVI, Super Bowl XXXVIII and Super Bowl XLIX.
Back in April, amid the Deflategate scandal, Brady posted a photo of the letter inviting him to be part of the ceremony to his Facebook page.
“What an honor,” Brady’s caption read. “Hope I have my helmet on for the on-field ceremony in SF!”
Unfortunately for Patriots fans, that last part won’t come true, but it’s only fitting that one of the greatest players in Super Bowl history will be part of the star-studded ceremony.
