Rob Gronkowski’s Party ‘Booze-Cruise’ Mentioned In Tony Romo Lawsuit

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is trying to use Rob Gronkowski’s partying to his advantage.

Romo was set to host a National Fantasy Football Convention (NFFC) last July until the NFL put the kibosh on the event, citing that players who attended would be breaching league policy because it was booked on a casino property. The NFFC fought back, filing a lawsuit against the NFL, and it now is using Gronk’s recent party cruise as part of its offensive approach.

ProFootballTalk obtained a copy of the NFFC’s second amended petition filed Monday in a Texas court. It specifically mentions Gronk’s wild cruise in Paragraph 47, per PFT:

“NFL player Rob Gronkowski hosted a party cruise from Miami to the Bahamas on February 19-22, 2016. The four-day party took place on Norwegian Cruise Line, where Gronkowski’s fans and attendees can take full advantage of Norweigan’s famed ‘Casinos at Sea.’ Photos from the booze-cruise show fans gambling at the on-board casino. The NFL specifically knew about the party cruise and its ties to gambling for more than seven months leading up to the event; yet the NFL took no action to either discipline Rob Gronkowski or prevent the event from taking place.”

Gronk’s party cruise has been making headlines this week. It looked like a wild time and other NFL players, including New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, have been weighing in on the event and how the New England Patriots tight end markets himself as a partying athlete.

But who knew it would be mentioned in litigation beyond anything too crazy that might have happened on the cruise?
