Easter Sunday started off like most game days for James Evans.
The 5-year-old San Antonio Rampage fan arrived at AT&T Center nice and early so he could exchange fist-bumps with some of the players, his father, David, told MySanAntonio.com, and then the family settled in to watch the Rampage play the Texas Stars.
But everything changed when James was hit in the head with a puck. He was rushed to the emergency room, where he received three staples, according to a meme his father later made.
Why the meme? Well, we’re glad you asked.
James loves his Rampage hockey so much that he asked the ER doctors, “Can you hurry so I can go back to the game?”
The doctors worked their magic and James got back just in time to see San Antonio, the American Hockey League affiliate for the Colorado Avalanche, win in overtime.
