Alfred Morris, Cowboys Agree to Two-Year Contract Reportedly Worth Up To $5.5M
The Dallas Cowboys upgraded their offense Tuesday by agreeing to a two-year contract with former Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
The Cowboys later confirmed the agreement via Twitter.
Rapoport also reported the financial details of the deal.

Morris is a durable player who hasn’t missed a game in four NFL seasons. The former sixth-round draft pick rushed for more than 1,000 yards per season from 2012 through 2014 before finishing with 751 yards in 2015 because he split carries with various teammates. Morris also has scored 29 rushing touchdowns in four seasons.
The Cowboys had running backs Darren McFadden, Robert Turbin and Rod Smith on their depth chart prior to agreeing to terms with Morris, whom they swiped from the NFC East rival Redskins. Last season, Dallas averaged 4.6 yards per rush, fifth-best in the NFL.
