Holly Holm, Now UFC Champion, Awaits Challenge From Miesha Tate (Photos)

The female face of UFC — and quite possibly the entire promotion — still is Ronda Rousey. But she’s no longer the bantamweight champion, and Holly Holm is the reason why.

Holm shocked the sports world at UFC 193, when she beat the previously undefeated Rousey by knockout with a brutal kick to the face. And Holm has a chance to build off that moment Saturday at UFC 196 when she defends her title against Miesha Tate.

Holm’s fight against Rousey probably was the first time many fans saw her inside the octagon, but “The Preacher’s Daughter” has been boxing and kickboxing her way to that moment since her professional debut in 2002. And what a career it’s been so far.
