Packers’ Eddie Lacy Looks Remarkably Slimmer In Recent Photo With Fan

The Green Bay Packers had pretty direct instructions for Eddie Lacy this offseason, and apparently he’s following them.

The Packers running back rushed for a career-low 758 yards last season amid concerns about his weight. Packers coach Mike McCarthy bluntly addressed those concerns in January, telling reporters that Lacy can’t play at the weight he did in 2015.

With that said, here’s a recent photo a fan took with Lacy in California, and let’s just say he looks a lot different.

Lacy reportedly consulted with P90X founder and workout guru Tony Horton for his offseason training program, and it appears the results are paying off. The fan in the photo, who claims the picture was taken March 17 at a sushi restaurant in California, said Lacy looked much thinner than he did.

Of course, a lot can change between now and the start of training camp in July, and Lacy will have plenty to prove in 2016 with backup John Starks breathing down his neck. But McCarthy admitted at the NFL Annual Meeting earlier this week that he’s pleased with the Alabama product’s progress.

“It looks like he’s doing good,” McCarthy said. “I think it’s important that all of these guys as they go through the young part of their careers, he needs to learn from the good and the not-so-good. Everything sounds like it’s going well in California.”
