Paul Pierce wasn’t able to finish what might be his final game against the Boston Celtics following a scary-looking leg injury Monday night.
Pierce drove to the basket late in the second quarter and scored a pretty bucket, giving the Los Angeles Clippers a 58-42 lead over the Celtics at the time. But he came down awkwardly on his right leg and appeared to injure his knee.

The Clippers announced Pierce was out for the rest of Monday’s game with a right knee contusion and ankle sprain. However, Los Angeles believes it “dodged a bullet.”

Clippers coach Doc Rivers delivered more good news after his team’s 114-90 win, adding that Pierce might miss a few games but didn’t sustain any serious damage to his knee.
Doc was just happy it wasn't a serious knee injury, which it looked like when it happened. The knee pain was just from banging his knee.
