Terrance Knighton Tweets Support For Celtics, Is A Huge Fan Of Team

Terrance Knighton still hasn’t signed with an NFL team yet, but if he joins the club he reportedly met with Monday, he’d have little trouble fitting in with the local residents.

The free agent defensive tackle visited the New England Patriots in Foxboro, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. And on Monday night, Knighton tweeted out his support for another team in the area: The Boston Celtics.

Before Patriots fans get too excited, Knighton’s tweet doesn’t automatically mean he’s signing with New England. The man they call “Pot Roast” hails from Hartford, Conn., and apparently has been a big Celtics fan for a while.

In fact, it turns out the 29-year-old tweets about the Celtics pretty often — scratch that, really often.

Knighton has good reason to be excited about this Celtics team, which already has posted its highest win total in five years and could make some noise in the NBA playoffs.

Will Knighton’s loyalty to the C’s sway the former Denver Bronco and Washington Redskin to sign with the Patriots? We doubt that’ll be the reason, but hey, it probably doesn’t hurt.
