The No. 9 seed Bearcats suffered a painful loss to Connecticut in the American Athletic Conference quarterfinals, but have the chance to bounce back against No. 8 seed Saint Joseph’s in a West Region first round matchup.
The Hawks posted a 27-7 record this season and won the Atlantic 10 Tournament thanks to the efforts of DeAndre Bembry, who earned A-10 Player of the Year honors after averaging 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season.
