Boston Bruins prospect Jeremy Lauzon was rushed into surgery Friday night after sustaining serious lacerations to his neck. The injury came after he was hit with a skate on the ice.
Lauzon, 18, was selected by the Bruins in the second round (No. 52 overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft. His Rouyn-Noranda Huskies were cruising to a victory in the QMJHL playoffs when the incident occurred.
Lauzon was taken to a local hospital and immediately went into surgery but is expected to be OK.
