Ex-New England Patriots defensive tackle Dominique Easley shot out a parting thank you to his former owner, coaches and teammates Thursday.
Easley thanked Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick “for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime these last (two) years.” Easley was released Wednesday, just two years after being selected 29th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. It’s the quickest Belichick has cut a first-round draft pick since taking over the Patriots in 2000.
Easley didn’t address the report that he was released for being unreliable and immature.
Easley could be claimed off waivers by another NFL team Thursday at 4 p.m. ET.
