The first Saturday of the 2016 MLB season is here, and there are plenty of exciting matchups for baseball fans to enjoy.
The Red Sox continue their weekend series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday at Rogers Centre. NESN’s Tom Caron will be sharing his value picks on DraftKings throughout the season, and one of his choices for Saturday is Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts.
Bogaerts had three hits in Boston’s 8-7 comeback win over the Blue Jays on Friday night. He’s also enjoyed plenty of success against Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey with a .357 (10 for 28) career average against the knuckleballer.
Here are TC’s three value picks for Saturday, April 9.
— Clayton Kershaw, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers: Giants have .168 avg and .416 OPS vs. Kershaw
— Xander Bogaerts, SS, Boston Red Sox: 10 for 28 lifetime vs. R.A. Dickey
— Bryce Harper, OF, Washington Nationals: 7 for 24 lifetime vs. Tom Koehler
