Boston College almost completed a memorable comeback Thursday night. Almost. But Quinnipiac goalie Michael Garteig made sure that didn’t happen.
The Eagles trimmed their two-goal deficit to one with just over four minutes remaining in their Frozen Four contest against the Bobcats in Tampa, Fla., and they very nearly tied the game in the closing seconds. However, Garteig came up with a huge glove save to clinch a berth in the men’s hockey championship game for Quinnipiac.
