High expectations surrounded Rickie Fowler heading into the 2016 Masters, but now he’ll be lucky to even make the cut after his dreadful first round at Augusta National.
Fowler had a double bogey and a triple bogey Thursday on his way to shooting an 8-over-par 80, which even Fowler laughed at afterward.
80 for the 80th playing of The Masters haha…definitely wasn't the plan but I'll be back at it tomorrow!!

Apparently he ran into a few trolls after that tweet, though, and he proceeded to call them out.
Appreciate all the well wishes and my fans always being there for me!! Can't believe there are still people that talk trash

I was always taught if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all…seems simple…life is short #BePositive

Unfortunately for Fowler, he still received the “Crying Michael Jordan” treatment.
