The Tennessee Titans said there were multiple offers for the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and apparently the Los Angeles Rams offered the best package.
The Titans on Thursday announced they had traded the first overall pick in the draft to the Rams.
In return, the Rams sent the Titans the 15th overall pick, two second-round selections (Nos. 43 and 45 overall) and a third-round choice (No. 76). All of those picks are in this year’s draft. Additionally, the Rams will ship their 2017 first-round and third-round picks to the Titans.
The Titans also sent their fourth-round and sixth-round pick in this year’s draft to the Rams to complete the trade.

The speculation among NFL media members is that the Rams moved up to draft a quarterback. Los Angeles currently has Case Keenum or Nick Foles as its projected starting QB, and some believe this trade signals a desire to draft Carson Wentz or Jared Goff.
The NFL draft will take place April 28-30.
