Johnny Manziel’s Latest Mugshot Allowed Quarterback To Find Silver Lining

You’d think Johnny Manziel would have the good sense not to joke about his ongoing legal issues, but here we are.

The former Cleveland Browns quarterback turned himself into police Wednesday after a grand jury indicted the 23-year-old on a misdemeanor assault charge involving his ex-girlfriend. Shortly thereafter, the mugshot of a smirking Manziel surfaced and made its way across the Internet.

What also started circulating around the Internet is this tweet from Manziel — a tweet that quickly was deleted for obvious reasons. The power of the screenshot button, however, ensured Manziel’s tweet couldn’t actually be erased.

The tweet is an apparent reference to the time Manziel was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors in 2012 before even breaking through as the starting quarterback at Texas A&M. As you might have guessed, Manziel appeared shirtless in his mugshot.

Manziel will appear in court Thursday, where he presumably will be wearing a shirt and not tweeting about it.
