Rangers Affiliate To Sell Alcoholic Drink In Honor Of Rougned Odor’s Punch

Major League Baseball suspended Rougned Odor eight games for rearranging Jose Bautista’s face with his fist, but that’s not going to stop one Texas Rangers minor league affiliate from capitalizing on the punch.

The Double-A Frisco RoughRiders introduced an alcoholic energy drink in honor of the Rangers second baseman’s right hook called “Rougie’s Red Punch.” The drink, which the RoughRiders will start selling Friday, even comes with its own souvenir cup.

The ingredients in the drink are simple, but we’ll let the RoughRiders describe them for you because they do a pretty good job.

“It contains fruit punch (in honor of his prodigious right hook), an energy drink (perfect for those looking to embody Odor’s ferocious and frenetic style of play), and a secret ingredient from Odor’s native Venezuela,” the team wrote on its website.

We’re assuming the secret ingredient is rum, which Venezuela is famous for. Rougie’s Red Punch also will sell for $5.15 to commemorate the day Odor squared off with the Toronto Blue Jays right fielder.

It looks as though the RoughRiders officially have taken things too far.
