Steph Curry Hits Unbelievable Series-Clinching Dagger; Twitter Implodes

There’s a reason Stephen Curry is the first unanimous MVP in NBA history. It’s mainly because he does things like this.

With the defending champion Golden State Warriors up by just two points against the Portland Trail Blazers and under a minute remaining in Game 5 of their second-round NBA playoff series, Curry more or less willed this ball — which at first glance looks like it will fall short — into the basket. That’s what you call a dagger, folks.

Here’s an even more impressive view.

Curry finished with 29 points in the 125-121 series-clinching victory. Klay Thompson added a game-high 33 for Golden State, while Portland’s C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard combined for 55 points in the loss.

In completely unsurprising fashion, Twitter completely lost its mind when Curry hit the shot — and justifiably so. It was an experience, to say the least.

The Warriors advance to the Western Conference finals for the second consecutive season and will face the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder-San Antonio Spurs series.
