Steven Wright, Scorching Red Sox Seeking Sixth Straight Win Vs. Astros

BOSTON — It’s hard to find another starting pitcher and another offense hotter than Steven Wright and the Red Sox.

The Red Sox enter Friday night’s game against the Houston Astros on a six-game winning streak. They’ve scored a whopping 51 runs over their last four contests, the latest of which was an 11-1 beatdown of the Astros on Thursday night.

Boston will look to keep the ball rolling Friday at Fenway Park by sending right-handed knuckleballer Steven Wright to the mound. Wright has gone at least six innings and has allowed two runs or fewer in all six of his starts this season and sports a minuscule 1.52 ERA.

Brock Holt will take Chris Young’s spot in left field and bat seventh against Houston right-hander Lance McCullers, who is set to make his 2016 debut. Ryan Hanigan will bat eighth and replace Christian Vazquez behind the plate to catch the knuckleballer Wright.

Here are the full lineups for both teams.
