The NHL appears to be the first of the four major North American sports leagues to be entering Las Vegas.

The next Board of Governors meeting is June 22 in Las Vegas, which also is the day and location of the 2016 NHL Awards.
Any potential Las Vegas franchise likely would play at T-Mobile Arena — a beautiful new arena that opened last month and seats 17,500 for hockey.
