Rob Gronkowski has a new ‘do, and it’s for a great cause.
The New England Patriots tight end participated in One Mission’s “Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off” event at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, joining around 1,000 others in shaving his head to help raise money for the Jimmy Fund clinic. It’s the seventh year One Mission has held the event and the fifth year Gronk has joined in.
“It’s an honor to be here,” Gronkowski said, per Patriots.com. “Every single year I put it in my calendar to make sure I’m here at this event. … I definitely feel like there’s a correlation with the kids looking up to me, and then coming here and buzzing my hair off. We all feel like we have something in common at the moment.”
Patriots left tackle Nate Solder helped shave heads this year, too.
This year’s event raised nearly $1 million to benefit kids with cancer.
