Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy is one of the best players who could be dealt before Monday’s non-waiver MLB trade deadline. He’s excellent defensively and hits pretty well, too.
The New York Mets are one team interested in Lucroy, and they reportedly offered 27-year-old catcher Travis D’Arnaud straight-up for him.
mets have tried for lucroy. not necessarily likely at moment. would be good move. @Ackert_NYDN reported d'arnaud offered.

Mets "have enough" to get a Lucroy deal done, industry source says. But there is skepticism that D'Arnaud + prospect would satisfy Brewers.

What do you think? Leave a comment.
The American League Central-leading Cleveland Indians are another team that could pursue Lucroy. They need another catcher, but pitching probably is a more glaring need.
#Brewers and Indians might be discussing C Jonathan Lucroy but you can bet relievers are part of talks. A big priority for Cleveland.

Lucroy is batting .301 with 13 home runs and 50 RBI this season. He was the Brewers’ lone All-Star earlier this month.
