The San Antonio Spurs lost franchise icon Tim Duncan to retirement earlier this week, but one member of their old guard isn’t going anywhere.
Manu Ginobili is returning to the Spurs, the team announced. Terms of the contract were not released, but Shams Charania from Yahoo! Sports’ The Vertical reported them through sources.
Vertical Sources: Manu Ginobili has signed a one-year, $14 million deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs.

Ginobili also announced the news on Twitter.

The 38-year veteran will enter his 15th NBA season. He played 56 games for the Spurs last season and averaged 9.6 points and 3.1 assists in 2015-16.
Ginobili played a key role on the Spurs’ championship teams in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014.
