Red Sox Midseason Superlatives: Winners, Losers From Eventful First Half
The Red Sox sit 11 games over .500 (49-38) at Major League Baseball’s All-Star break, trailing the American League East-leading Baltimore Orioles by two games.
The club’s first 87 contests have featured some compelling storylines, including the surprising emergence of an All-Star pitcher, the struggles of Boston’s back-end starters and, of course, the magical final season of a Red Sox legend.
