2017 NFL Draft Reportedly Will Be Held In Philadelphia

The NFL draft reportedly is returning to the City of Brotherly Love for the first time since 1961.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 2017 NFL Draft will be held in Philadelphia. The exact hosting venue is unclear, but an announcement is expected to come Thursday.

This is relatively unsurprising news, as Philly was considered a leading contender to host the 2017 event. Chicago hosted the NFL draft in 2015 and 2016 after it being held in New York for the previous 50 years.

Interestingly enough, the hometown Eagles currently don’t own a first-round pick for 2017. Philadelphia traded its 2017 first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns earlier this year in a deal for the No. 2 overall selection in 2016, which the Eagles used to draft quarterback Carson Wentz.
