Saturday night might have been the last time we see Bayley wrestle in NXT. Judging by her send-off from devoted fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, it probably should be.
Bayley, the former women’s champion known as the heart and soul of NXT, lost in her rematch with the woman who took her title: Asuka. But following the conclusion of a thrilling match, the WWE Universe sent a seemingly despondent and heartbroken Bayley off with a long, loud ovation — one fit for a wrestler leaving her promotion.

But it was her interactions with a few of the biggest names on the WWE roster that really has us wondering if Bayley could get a call up to the main roster.

Bayley, of course, made her WWE debut last month at WWE Battleground while teaming up with Sasha Banks against Charlotte and Dana Brooke. In a convenient twist to add to our theory, WWE superstar Eva Marie was just suspended by the company this week. She was scheduled to wrestle in a six-person tag match Sunday night at SummerSlam.
Could Bayley’s permanent WWE promotion come at the second-biggest pay-per-view of the year? We certainly hope so.
