Olympic Swimming Results: Katie Ledecky, Michael Phelps Shine For Team USA

Another night, another gold medal for Katie Ledecky.

The American was part of USA’s team for the 4x200m freestyle relay final Wednesday night in Rio de Janeiro, along with Allison Schmitt, Leah Smith and Maya DiRado. Ledecky entered the pool trailing by a full body length, but she made up the time and then some to secure the gold for Team USA.

The second biggest swimming event of the night wasn’t even a final. Both Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte swam in the second men’s 200m individual medley semifinal, and it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that both American’s cruised to a spot in Thursday’s final.

The U.S. did pick up some more medals thanks to Josh Prenot’s silver in the 200m breaststroke and Nathan Adrian’s bronze in the 100m freestyle.
