Kate Upton Calls Dolphins Players’ National Anthem Protest ‘A Disgrace’

Three Miami Dolphins players protested “The Star-Spangled Banner” before their Week 1 game Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks by kneeling while the national anthem was played in the stadium.

As you might imagine following the controversy surrounding San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick during the preseason, not everyone agreed with these players’ actions.

One of those people included supermodel Kate Upton, who called the decision “a disgrace.” She explained her thoughts on the subject with the Instagram post below.

The fact the protests happened on anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks probably had a lot to do with Upton’s feelings on the matter, and that’s pretty obvious based on her remarks above and several tweets sent in response to people who were upset and/or disagreed with her.
