NFL Rumors: Mark Sanchez To Sign With Cowboys After Broncos Cut QB

Mark Sanchez won’t remain without a job for long.

Shortly after being released by the Denver Broncos on Saturday, Sanchez will sign with the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported, citing a source. The contract will be for one year, the source told Schefter.

The Broncos’ release of Sanchez didn’t come as much of a shock after he lost the starting job to Trevor Siemian.

The Cowboys are looking to make a splash at quarterback after starter Tony Romo’s injury, and they could have a veteran to back up rookie Dak Prescott until Romo returns.

Sanchez, 29, has appeared in 13 total games over the last two seasons, throwing 18 touchdown passes and committing 19 turnovers — 15 interceptions and four fumbles — over that span.
