Red Sox Vs. Athletics Lineup: Yoan Moncada Makes First Big League Start

Boston Red Sox fans got a glimpse of top prospect Yoan Moncada on Friday, but they’ll get to see him play for a full nine innings against the Oakland Athletics on Saturday.

Moncada walked and scored a run in Boston’s 16-2 win over the A’s on Friday after entering the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, and he’s in the starting lineup for the middle game of their series, playing third base and batting eighth. Travis Shaw, who went 3-for-6 with five RBIs on Friday, will take a seat.

Chris Young also is starting Saturday in left field and will bat seventh.

Rick Porcello is on the mound, and the Red Sox will look to give him another win on top of his major league-best 18 victories. The right-hander has been Boston’s best starter this season and is in the American League Cy Young conversation, so he’ll certainly be looking to take advantage of an A’s team that the Red Sox have dominated in 2016.

Here are both teams’ lineups for Saturday.
