Tiger Woods might be golf royalty, but one must earn a spot in the limelight in the United States.
Woods tried in vain to sneak into the United States 2016 Ryder Cup team’s official photo Tuesday at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn., in a comical moment ahead of the tournament.
Woods, one of Team USA’s vice captains, first tried to position himself on the right side of the group, but the photographer ushered him to the other side — and by “other” we mean “out.”

Woods has been out of action for over a year due to persistent back problems. He plans to return to the links next month.
Perhaps he’ll play his way onto the 2018 USA Ryder Cup team and its accompanying photo.
