DeAngelo Williams Calls Out Roger Goodell, Vontaze Burfict Over Fine

New England Patriots supporters and Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams can agree on something — neither are big fans of Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

Williams, whose Steelers will host the Patriots in a Week 7 matchup Sunday, took to Twitter on Wednesday to respond to the NFL’s decision to fine Burfict $75,000 for allegedly stomping on Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount during New England’s 35-17 victory over Cincinnati on Sunday.

Hint: Williams didn’t agree with the decision.

And he didn’t stop there when the internet trolls arrived.

Williams has plenty of reasons to take issue with Burfict’s penalty. Burfict has a history of dirty hits, including the one he made on Williams’ teammate, Antonio Brown, during the AFC wild-card round in January.

So you probably shouldn’t interpret this as him standing up for Patriots players, especially with what he’s tweeted about Tom Brady and the Pats in the past.
