A lot has changed in 15 years.
On this date in 2001, some 24-year-old kid named Tom Brady threw the first touchdown pass of his NFL career, connecting with Terry Glenn on a 21-yard reception against the San Diego Chargers.

The New England Patriots quarterback later threw his second TD pass to tight end Jermaine Wiggins with 36 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime before an Adam Vinatieri field goal won the game 29-26. Brady finished 33-of-54 passing for 364 yards, the first 300-yard performance of his career and his only one of his 2001 regular season.
Fast forward to the present, and Brady is two days away from his first home game of the 2016 NFL season after serving a four-game Deflategate suspension. Oh, and he also has won four of the six Super Bowls he’s been to and has thrown 430 more touchdown passes, the fourth-most ever.
Not too shabby.
