Could Tony Romo be the next great aging Broncos quarterback to lead Denver to a championship? According to one report, he might get that chance.
Romo recently conceded his starting job to Dallas Cowboys rookie Dak Prescott, which seemingly will spell the end of his tenure with America’s team. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Cowboys will try to trade Romo in the offseason — despite Cowboys owner Jerry Jones saying they won’t — and that he’ll get a say in where he lands.
When #Cowboys look to trade Tony Romo this offseason, he’ll have significant say. I’m told he has eyes on the #Broncos as a potential spot.

We speculated last week on possible landing spots for Romo in the likely case he is traded, with the Broncos– who are built to win now but don’t have an elite quarterback to put them over the top — being one of them. It seems Romo is thinking the same way.
While seeing Romo wearing anything other than a Cowboys uniform certainly would be weird, it wouldn’t be the first time Denver has ridden a veteran quarterback to glory. Broncos general manager John Elway once was a veteran QB in Denver who won two Super Bowl titles before riding off into retirement, and he acquired Peyton Manning five years ago, which ultimately led them to another title last season.
Will Romo be next?
