For the first time in a long while, the Apple Cup has College Football Playoff implications for one of the Pac-12 rivals.

If Washington (10-1, 7-1) beats Washington State (8-3, 7-1) on Friday, the Huskies will have a good shot at being one of the four teams in the Playoff. The winner of this game also will play for the conference title.
