Does Neil deGrasse Tyson have a problem with football?

We don’t know the answer, but America’s most famous astrophysicist speculated Sunday that the rest of us might be better off without our Sunday fun days in the fall and winter months. He said on Twitter we might be closer to the future imagined in “The Jetsons” if we didn’t devote so much of our brain power to what happens on the gridiron.

If only we spent Sundays; and Monday nights; and Thursday nights; and Saturday nights … actually, deGrasse Tyson makes a good point.

The NFL should go back to playing football games on only Sundays and Monday nights so we can spend the rest of our time working on blueprints and prototypes for next-generation transportation.
